Choose your trip
Tap a saved favorite or search any stop or address in Finland. BusAlarm finds the buses and lists every stop on the route.

Start tracking
Tap Start. Your phone's GPS follows the bus, and a notification shows the next stop, the stops left and the estimated minutes left.

Relax or sleep
Put your phone away. Tracking keeps running with the screen off, and even after you close the app. Stop it any time from the notification.

Wake up in time
At the stop before your destination, a full-screen alarm appears over the lock screen with sound, vibration or both. Hold the button to confirm you're awake.

Questions, answered
Where does BusAlarm work?
Across Finland, wherever bus routes are available in the national Digitransit service, including the Helsinki region and other cities.
Does it need an internet connection?
You need a connection to search routes and start a trip. After that, tracking uses your phone's GPS and the alarm works on its own.
Will the alarm ring if my phone is locked or silent?
Yes. The alarm uses the alarm volume and appears over the lock screen. On Android 14 and newer, allow full-screen notifications when the app asks.
How accurate are the minutes left?
They're an estimate based on where the bus is along the route and the scheduled trip time, so traffic can change them. The alarm itself is triggered by reaching the stop, not by the clock.
What about battery use?
GPS runs only while a trip is being tracked. Stop tracking, or reach your stop, and it stops.
Is it really free?
Yes. No ads, no subscriptions and no account.
Which Android versions are supported?
Android 7.0 (API 24) and newer.
Is there an iPhone version?
An App Store version is coming soon. The Android app on Google Play comes first.
